Rich is the founder of SurvivalRing, now in it's 20th year, author of multimedia CDs and DVDs, loves the outdoors, his family, his geeky skill-set, and lives in rural Missouri, just a few miles from the Big Muddy. He is an award winning videographer (2005 Telly Award), has received state and national scholarly recognition (2006 New Century Scholar and All USA Academic Team), and is a natural with computers, technology, gadgets, small furry mammals, and anything on wheels. Rich likes making friends, solving problems, and creating solutions to everyday issues. He doesn't mind mixing things up, when there is a teaching moment ready to happen.     Great Item
    I have four of these that are over five years old.
    Lost power last night for over 45 minutes, all four worked
    Fine, and none of them showed any sign of getting any…

    Worked Perfectly During Recent Storm
    These lights provided necessary light when our power went out during a recent ice storm. We have one on each floor.

    Handy emergency light
    This is a great emergency light. It is always handy because you plug it into a wall outlet where it remains until a power outage occurs.

    Does the job
    There is nothing fancy about this light, but it does the job. I ordered five; two were broken when they arrived. I returned them and Amazon replaced them.

    over a year ago i purchased these lights
    purchased for the yearly huricane seasson , for me, my mom, and brother. last year with the heavy season , our power went out alot , and this light workd like a champ.

    Not enough emergency light
    The light came on when the power went off at 3 AM but the emergency light did not last long enough even though the battery had four or five days to fully charge.

    Good light for when the power goes out
    These lights provide enough light to see by when the power goes out. They don’t light up the house so you can read, but they aren’t meant to.

    They’re dead when you need them..
    The flashlight stopped working after 3 months, probably due to low quality rechargeable batteries that wont recharge any more. Who knows.

    A little behind the times
    We received one of these from my employer (Earth day giveaway, I believe) back in 2000 or 2001. It is supposed to act as a night light while the rechargeable battery inside…

    Close but no emergency beacon
    I ordered and am using 4 of these, but having used Intermatic products for 20 years, I am not impressed.
