Reposted from Doctor Prepper on FB.
Hi friends, it’s been a while since we’ve posted anything here, but I’ve got good news for one and all.
James is still retired, and doing well. I talked to him this weekend, and shared some ideas with him, and after I find the archives (somewhere on my hard drives, currently in storage in Nashville, while I’m living in St Louis), we’re going to bring back Doctor Prepper, as in Junior.
All of James’ and my shows are still hanging out on iTunes podcasts, as well as Blog Talk Radio, but we’re going to bring new life into the brand, new content, and new faces into the fold. The old websites with all their content are in hiding, but I’ll dig them out.
Yes, even Making The Best of Basics will be available to purchase again, but only in digital format.
Currently, I’m in limbo mode, as I recover from a back injury from an MVA in Kentucky, and am now waiting to see a spinal surgeon to figure out how to make me whole again.
What that means is a LOT of creation mode, writing, coding, blogging, and investigation of lots of things you will find quite intriguing…as my mind and typing fingers work just fine.
Most of a year spent on the road running around the nation in a secret mapping project has provided me exquisite insight into what the heart of America is really like, and perspectives from directions you’d never expect as well.
It may take a few weeks, but the reboot is coming.
Please, if you have ANY topics you would like to talk about, see covered, any notable tools or publications, or anything else worthwhile, by all means leave comments here.
Thanks to all of you for your long term interest in prepping and the Good Doctor.
I’m looking forward to hearing from all of you.
Biggest news? Facebook LIVE broadcasts.
I can show you what I’m talking about, what’s going on around the area, in nature, and in politics, and give you history like NOBODIES business.
Just a half hour away, across the street from where I attend a WordPress meet up once a month, is the very spot, unique in this nation, of where Lewis and Clark started their historic expedition to investigate the Louisiana Purchase, leaving St. Charles, Missouri on May 14, 1806, at the behest and direction of President Thomas Jefferson, and traveling up the river systems all the way to the Pacific Ocean and back in an epic 2 1/2 year trip.
What a great way to really discuss preparedness, by bringing in real history with frontier knowledge, to go places that few had gone before.
What American history near you can help share to remind us of our traditions and folklore in getting where we are today, while sharing the tools that might help us again with in the future?
