Happy Thanksgiving, from Rich Fleetwood and SurvivalRing!

turkeyTo all my friends and acquaintances…I bid you a safe and joyous Thanksgiving. If you can, spend time with your family. Phone those that can’t be with you. Get back in touch with those that have dropped out of your life for whatever reason. Life is too short to let petty things become cold steel divots in your heart.

Above all, give thanks for all that is in your life, including those things that seem to be heavy and burdensome. Every day is a challenge, to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason.

Do the hard thing, instead of the easy thing…always. See each challenge as an opportunity to solve a problem in your life that CAN be over come, given some time, some thought, and some action. Anything is possible.

At this moment, on this day, our world is in chaos. Our nation is at war…with itself.

We…are all WE have.

Today, I remind you…give thanks for all you have…right now. Next year, you’re probably going to have less. You already know, by who’s hand.

Prepare for next Thanksgiving, by enjoying your meal and fellowship today. Then, get to work. Make your actions support your heart. Make your work support your future. Make your passion support your destiny.

Make your family become your treasure.

You are the descendant of your family roots. Only 3 or 4 generations ago, the average lifespan of your ancestors was only 35 to 40 years. In just 150 years, the average lifespan has doubled. You…are responsible, completely, for your lifespan.

Only you can make sure you enjoy a full and complete life.  Only you…can leave a legacy of hope, love, and hard work.

The future is yours. You will find only pain living in the past.  You can learn from the past, and please do…it’s actually good to know your roots and learn from them…just don’t live there, or get lost…

But, back to the message of the day…

Give thanks…for the life you have, the family that you love, for the chances you have been given…and the choices you will be able to make for your foreseeable future.

It’s all in your hands. Make the best of it. Follow the path of respect, of trust, of loyalty, and of faith. Know that you can make a difference, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem right now. Do the right thing at the right time for the right reason.

You will succeed.

How do you know it will all turn out well in the end?

No one knows…it’s a mystery…

…just don’t give up.
