Family…putting one’s self in harms way…for Country.

Thinking of my brother today. We don’t talk much…but I do think of him regularly. He’s got a job that is much different than mine. He retired from the Air Force years ago, after 26 years. Got himself a job as a contractor in Defense Weapons support, and spends a few months every year in country (in the sand box).
My job, in Corrections/LEO at the state level keeps me very busy, and with my home business and big home and huge 4 acre yard (and all the little jobs that go with all that), I don’t communicate much with him…other that staying up on his FB posts.
I learned this morning that he’s heading back over there today…should be back home in Florida sometime in December. I’ll be saying some prayers for him to make it home safely again this time. He’s a year younger than me, but he’s had a very intense life in and out of the service.
Proud of you, little brother. Stay safe, stay strong, and do what you do best. Call me when you get home.

My little brother Charley, aka Charles...doing something I've wanted to do for decades...

Not the first in my family to protect our country, but one of the few to make a lifetime career out of it. Wish we had a LOT more like him.
