The citizens have spoken…

Wednesday 5 November 2008 @ 12:07 am

This nation IS a REPUBLIC, run by representatives ELECTED by the majority of its citizens.

Tonight, the majority have spoken.

How does this affect me?

It doesn’t change a thing I’ve done, been doing, or will do.

I don’t live for my leaders.

I live for my family, my community, and my friends. And, I believe in this nation. We’ve had harder times than this…this…is nothing.

Folks have hit many sore spots in many fairly negative threads, blogs, forums, and comments all over the web.

Do what you believe in…follow your heart…but do the RIGHT thing. No matter who…no matter what…no matter when.

To NOT help a fellow human because of skin color, party affiliation, race, creed, or anything else…shows and tells a lot about YOU.

There are words for that…

Bigot. Racist. Hatemonger.

I believe in the very foundation of this country…the Constitution…the Bill of Rightsthat ALL men are created equal.

I’m seeing a LOT of postings in a few places that I visit with some regularity, from folks that say, and sadly, believe…otherwise.

I don’t like that.

Not one bit.

I will act on my principals…if it comes to divesting myself from evil.

This community of Americans here on the internet have done great things, helped each other over tough times, and created ideas and potentialities that could bear good for all.

But those few…and you know who you are…you don’t *have* shades of grey, or you have colors you just won’t accept…well, you get what you deserve.

For everyone else…yes, teach your children…we did…build your own business…we did…move to where you feel free and comfortable…we did.

When you gets lemons….make lemonades…do what you know to do with them.

If you can’t, it’s not MY fault…it’s not the government’s fault…it’s not your neighbors fault…it’s YOURS.

Act with maturity, integrity, and honor.

And, if you feel this nation is truly in trouble, use the law to change the law, to what YOU believe.

Ayers and Alinsky and other revolutionaries found ways to get inside, or around, the law, and Ayers is still doing it (Alinsky died in 1972). Ayers skipped prison time on a technicality, for his Domestic Terrorism exploits as founder of the Weathermen, where he bombed and killed people.

He and Alinsky-ists, and their ilk, found a way to use federal grants, which Obama happily helped push forward and apply for, and won enormous grants for educational programs…again, socialist in nature…and as so many on the web been have mentioning regarding O’bama’s mentors….a Marxist is a Marxist is a Marxist…pure and simple.

Read up on it…UNDERSTAND all that THAT means. We, as a nation, have a quandary. The minority of non-Obama supporters fears…are real, and valid. See my previous two posts. Obama has ties to evil…threats to the American Way…that go back DECADES. And, I will NOT waste time talking about the criminal syndicate that is known as the Chicago Political Machine…one of the most corrupt in the nation.

In our case…regarding YOU…become a solution to this threat of socialistic dichotomies….work for freedom…for all…not more laws, taxes, covenents, surveillance, or anti-constitutionalist bull crap…the very things that Obama fed us in his march to the White House.

Think about change…not the change that Obama has been pushing ( I mean, all this man has EVER done is TALK…NEVER worked in the REAL world, gotten his hands DIRTY, had an aching back from a long workday, etc, etc). Make change, by finding solutions that work for FREEDOM and bust your butt to change your world, change it for the BETTER.

Not for socialism…not for marxism…not for the Bourgeoisie (google it…then visualize Obama as THE bourgeoisie)…

Do it for the future generations of Americans…who JUST want FREEDOM.

Think…William Wallace…gutted…strangled…about to be beheaded and drawn and quartered in front of a crowd of hundreds, if not thousands…

His last word. Freedom.

Nothing more….nothing less.

God Bless You, Charlton Heston…we’ll miss ya…

Monday 7 April 2008 @ 9:00 pm

There are very few men I truly admire and respect for being Who They Are. Besides the obvious ones, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein, Neil Armstrong, and Ronald Reagon, I truly admire the late Charlton Heston, who passed away last week.

Not because he played Moses…Ben Hur…the Omega Man…or many dozens of other characters he brought to the big screen for millions…but because of what he PERSONALLY stood for.

He marched to support Civil Rights. So did my current professor and good friend Dale Smith.

He believed in the utter simplicity of the Constitution. So do I.

He spoke his mind to people who didn’t want to hear the truth…as do I when given the chance.

And, he made people unconfortable…by shining the light of truth in ways that made supporters of evil and bad things…well, decide to change their ways at times.

He advocated Civil Disobedience, as he learned it from some of the greatest men in history, as he says…”from Dr. King…who learned it from Gandhi, and Thoreau, and Jesus, and every other great man who led those in the right against those with the might.”

What honor…what integrity…and what compassion he had. Standing up for those who could not stand for themselves, due to laws, threats, or societal “norms”.

Read Heston’s speech below, as given at Harvard in 1999. It’s a good read…worth printing out and putting on your wall to remind yourself what we, as Americans, really should stand for…the rights of ALL.

Heston on Winning the Culture War
By: Charlton Heston

The following is a speech NRA President Charlton Heston gave to the Harvard Law School Forum on February 16, 1999.

I remember my son when he was five, explaining to his kindergarten class what his father did for a living. “My Daddy,” he said, “pretends to be people.”

There have been quite a few of them. Prophets from the Old and New Testaments, a couple of Christian saints, generals of various nationalities and different centuries, several kings, three American presidents, a French cardinal and two geniuses, including Michelangelo. If you want the ceiling repainted I’ll do my best. There always seems to be a lot of different fellows up here. I’m never sure which one of them gets to talk. Right now, I guess I’m the guy.

As I pondered our visit tonight, it struck me: If my Creator gave me the gift to connect you with the hearts and minds of those great men, then I want to use that same gift now to re-connect you with your own sense of liberty…your own freedom of thought…your own compass for what is right.

Dedicating the memorial at a Gettysburg, Abraham Lincoln said of America, “We are now engaged in a great Civil War, testing whether this nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure.”

Those words are true again. I believe that we are again engaged in a great civil war, a cultural war that’s about to hijack your birthright to think and say what resides in your heart. I fear you no longer trust the pulsing lifeblood of liberty inside you…the stuff that made this country rise from wilderness into the miracle that it is.
