Asteroid has 1-in-60ish chance of Earth hit
By Robert Roy Britt, SPACE.com
An asteroid that has a small chance of hitting Earth in the year 2029 was upgraded to an unprecedented level of risk Friday, Dec. 24. Scientists still stress, however, that odds are further observations will show the space rock won’t be on a collision course with the planet.
The risk rating for asteroid 2004 MN4 was raised Friday by NASA and a separate group of researchers in Italy.
The asteroid’s chance for hitting Earth on April 13, 2029 has now been categorized as a 4 on the Torino Scale. The level 4 rating — never before issued — is reserved for “events meriting concern” versus the vast majority of potentially threatening asteroids that merely merit “careful monitoring.”
The Dec. 24 update from NASA states:
“2004 MN4 is now being tracked very carefully by many astronomers around the world, and we continue to update our risk analysis for this object. Today’s impact monitoring results indicate that the impact probability for April 13, 2029 has risen to about 1.6%, which for an object of this size corresponds to a rating of 4 on the ten-point Torino Scale. Nevertheless, the odds against impact are still high, about 60 to 1, meaning that there is a better than 98% chance that new data in the coming days, weeks, and months will rule out any possibility of impact in 2029.”

My son Kenny is a great musician in training. The kid already has two CDs almost done, writes his own music and lyrics, plays all the instruments on the songs, and is NOW doing his own marketing with Music Industry companies all over the map.
In order to give him a hand, I created a website for him and helped optimize the demo songs he recorded in studio a few weeks ago, and have it all online for him now. Check it out..
I even set him up with his very own blog, and have a few more features to add for him…
Merry Christmas, my boy…keep up the good work!

This story reminds me of the Japanese soldiers found hiding in the jungles 50 years after Japan surrendered. Very interesting read….
Long-Lost Khmer Rouge Guerrillas Hit 21st Century

LOUT, Cambodia (Reuters) – When Vietnamese troops overran his village in 1979, Romam Chhung Loeung, a Khmer Rouge guerrilla, had no option but to flee with friends and family into the dense jungle of northeast Cambodia.
Twenty-five years later, the group emerged from the forest in clothes made of bark and leaves, unaware that the war was over, the Vietnamese had gone and Pol Pot was dead.
In an extraordinary tale of human survival, the refugees lived on whatever scraps they could find in the jungle, fearful of any contact with humans, who they believed were the enemy, slugging out the final chapter of the Cold War in Indochina.
“Whenever we heard gun-shots or people chopping trees, we would move to another site,” Romam Chhung Loeung said recently after a tearful reunion with relatives in Ratanakiri province, around 250 miles northeast of the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh.

I post this particular article for one reason only. I agree with all of it. And, I feel it must be shared. Why? Because the terrorists who caused 9-11 literally are Devils on this earth. They are not men…they are demons…evil beings…killing innocents WITHOUT warning…without remorse…and without reason.
Share with all, please…

When Devils Walk the Earth
This essay is extracted from Ralph Peters’ new book, “When Devils Walk the Earth.” It is a must-read. The man is prescient. If you focus on nothing else, peruse the last point; Number 25. I added the “bold” and red color to points I thought ought to receive major emphasis…….Ed (Ed is Major General, USA, Ret, Ed Browne)
Chapter III. Fighting Terror: Do’s and Don’ts for a Superpower:
1. Be feared!
2. Identify the type of terrorists you face, and know your enemy as well as you possibly can. Although tactics may be similar, strategies for dealing with practical vs. apocalyptic terrorists can differ widely. Practical terrorists may have legitimate grievances that deserve consideration, although their methods cannot be tolerated. Apocalyptic terrorists, no matter their rhetoric, seek your destruction and must be killed to the last man. The apt metaphor is cancer: you cannot hope for success if you only cut out part of the tumor. For the apocalyptic terrorist, evading your efforts can easily be turned into a public triumph. Our bloodiest successes will create far fewer terrorists and sympathizers than our failures.
