For those with long term interests in learning about all things preparedness and survival related, I’ve got some big plans ahead. Please visit my new Take a Poll page and give me your feedback on the current three polls there. I’ve just added several more polls to our list, and I would like to invite ALL of you to use them to tell me what you would like to see added to SurvivalRing this year.
I’ve got some brand new, never before on the web, digital civil defense documents coming online in the next few days, and you’ll see them HERE first. I’ve also added a new Bird Flu Prepping tools section, and will be adding articles, government documents, and more planning info for this very potential threat to SurvivalRing in the month of February, with real facts, real government planning, and suggestions on how you can plan for caring for your family, should a true pandemic break out in this nation.
I’ve got an entirely new design in work for SurvivalRing, to tie together ALL the areas of the site in a more manageable system, and will be seeking a handfull of you (volunteers, anyone?) to help me beta test the new design, comment on the new layout, and help me tune it as it goes live. In exchange, I’ll be offering something special for this chosen few. You’ll like it, I promise.
New areas to be added are Family Income sections, a replacement forum for the Ikonboard system which died (but not before I upgraded and moved the data), comment ability on ANY webpage in this site, and for those who puchase my CDs, the ability to instantly download a CD IMAGE online ( at a discount, and with full access for a year to get all updates of the entire CD as it’s upgraded, changed, etc…with access to all NEW file creations automatically provided).
Many new projects for SurvivalRing this year, and more growth than ever. For the entire year of 2006, we doubled traffic, tripled downloaded files (450 gigs of download in 12 months, and we served millions of visitors). Thanks to ALL of you who keep coming back.
If you have comments, suggestions, questions, or anything you can think of, that you would like SurvivalRing to share, create, or add to our system capability, use the email link below.
Until next update,
Thanks, Richard ( rafleet@gmail.com )
SurvivalRing has been on the web since 1997. It started out as a single web page to support the SurvivalRing Survival and Preparedness webring, hosted way back then on Webring.org (now a poorly run Dot.Com company). Within a couple of months, the webring had 12 members webrings. By the late fall of 1999 (pre Y2K), SurvivalRing had 750 members and amazing traffic.
Starting in early 1998, SurvivalRing became it’s own website, with hosting, downloads, features, and a lot more. A budding online community was born.
Today, SurvivalRing has been beefed up on infrastructure and backend support, and now has the room, and power, to offer AMAZING future growth.
Hi friends and SurvivalRing supporters.I’m finally getting the next generation of SurvivalRing online. This new design and content management package is database driven, has full membership and download management abilities, built in news, article, polls, and review systems, builtin chat room, AND a new forum system. It has an incredible package of backend programming that also allows a full multimedia experience with music and podcast streaming, video, project management, team organization, message systems, and even more. In other words, this is going to be the ultimate preparedness website.
I’ve not fully finalized a move AWAY from the Ikonboard forum software, but let’s say this…I like the integration I’ve accomplished so far with my new website design, including the forum AND chat system on the HOMEPAGE.
Why not take a look at it now?
