Helping the Press ...Getting Publicity...

In 1999, I had MANY media representatives contact me because
of SurvivalRing. Why? Well, most were looking for LOCAL people close to them
they could interview (especially those who would classify themselves as
Survivalists) for special reports, articles, interviews, and background data
on The Y2k problem. Click over to my Y2k

I connected many of them with friends and acquaintances all over the country,
and there were many articles and stories that did appear in the various forms
of print, radio, and television.
I even got interviewed over the phone by Fox Files, Time Magazine, the local
Birmingham Post Herald, CNET TV, The London Times and several other papers and outlets. Never saw much
of anything with my name attached, but did see folks mentioned and interviewed
that I mentioned to the reporters. Never got my website mentioned either....but
obviously they (the media) were aware of it or never would have contacted
me. No big deal to me either way. I had my hands full enough as is with
my real job as a letter carrier, a husband, father, webmaster, and budding
author...not to mention car mechanic, do-it-yourselfer, etc, etc.
Why this page then? Why not? I'm not afraid of sharing what I know with people
ALL OVER THE WORLD. If I was, why in the world would I have so many dozens
of pages of my writings, rants, ravings, thoughts, suggestions, and ideas
on the INTERNET? Gee, even the Men In Black, the Masked Marauder, and the
Shadow might even be able to find me with all that stuff online.
I am glad to offer my knowledge of preparedess issues to as wide an audience
as possible, in any format, at most any time....that does NOT interfere with
my work schedule at the Post Office where I carry mail. I have a mail route
with almost 700 stops, with thousands of customers, who depend on ME to do
my job for them everyday that I am scheduled. They come first.
After normal work hours I will be more than happy to help any media
representative in most any format that would like a bit of my time to discuss
problems, suggestions, threats, and responces...in the world of survival,
preparedness, or Y2k. I have contacts all over the world who are experts
in SPECIFIC fields in some of these same areas, as well as contacts who know
WHAT is going on WHERE on specific topics.
I'll share what I can, teach what I know, and suggest what I might to anyone
who cares to take the time to listen.
