Linking Your site to SurvivalRing without Joining...
You should know by now that SurvivalRing as a website links to MORE than
700 survival, preparedness, and y2k websites all over the world. EACH of
these sites, as part of becoming a full MEMBER of the webring, had to add
to their website, the correct html webring linkage that allowed their site
to interact correctly with the webring.org system, in letting visitors moving
around the ring CONTINUE their trip easily and simply. Adding the HTML is
most cases is very simple, especially if the new member knows a little bit
about html and how it creates a page when a visitor comes to see it in their
browser. For those who don't know anything about html, it is a bit of a
challenge, but it not insurmountable.
However, some people who have websites may NOT want to go thru all the trouble
of joining the ring, adding the 'chunk' of html, and doing all that notifying
of the ringmaster as needed. They just want to LINK to the ring. HOW?
Like this. Simply put this code in your page where you want the link to be.
The SurvivalRing Webring
is created by placing THIS code into your page html:
<A HREF="http://www.survivalring.org">The SurvivalRing
Webring</A>
Want to use one of the images from SurvivalRing, and use the IMAGE as a link
to the webring website? Then do THIS.
Then use THIS code to do it.
<P>
<A HREF="http://www.survivalring.org"><IMG
SRC="randyringlogo.jpg"></A>
<P>
If the image link is your fave, then go to the Graphics Gallery (When its
READY!) and pick a picture you really like, and use THAT image with the above
html code to link to SurvivalRing.
Still, if you have a site that is within the GUIDELINES of SurvivalRing,
why not just go ahead and JOIN THE WEBRING? It's not really that difficult.
After all, I did it...and I didn't know ANYTHING about html 2 years ago!!
See ya round!
