A Little Background
SurvivalRing started as a single webpage in 1997, supporting the SurvivalRing Webring, the FIRST webring for survival and preparedness websites. Based on my Blast Shelter website, the SurvivalRing became the largest survival webring in the world, with over 750 members in late 1999, and at a time when there were over 80,000 webrings in existance, made it into the Top 100 webring listings consistantly.
In the next couple of years, SurvivalRing grew into the huge site you see now, with thousands of pages of downloadable reports and plans, on all aspects of shelter, survival, and preparedness...one of the leading sources of material available for free on the internet...in the world.
So, with all these things, why the CD Roms? Well, the website only has 350 megabytes of storage available in the current account, and EVERY BIT of it is being used...AND I have many gigabytes of data...and offer ALL I have to those that want it...and the simplest, fastest, and most cost efficient way is via CD.
My ultimate goal here? To be able to offer EVERYTHING I have document wise free via my site. How? By being able to afford to purchase extended storage space and internet bandwidth. It is a building process, but it is a proven concept that can and will happen with enough support from folks like you who KNOW that making things available to the widest audience possible has the best chance of ALL of us successfully helping our fellow man in the toughest of times.
Many folks have helped in the past year with donated documents, a bit of extra hardware, and monetary donations for supplies and new document purchases. All funds go back into the project, and hardware is in hand for full production, new doc scanning, and backup needs, as well as HUGE amounts of raw data for future book and multimedia projects ( think radio, video, audio, and TV ideas ) to keep spreading the word of BE PREPARED.
What To Expect In Future Releases
All future releases ( after Release Number One ) WILL build upon previous ones, in ease of access, simple use, and state of the art digital conversion from the ORIGINAL documents. Thousands of pages of never before available ( digitally, that is ) civil defense documents are prioritized and stacked in order of scanning, and will be digitized for worldwide consumption as time allows. Many of these go back to the earliest days of the Cold War, and cover ALL aspects of defending yourself from radiological agression and threat.
CD Rom Release Number One -

Release Number Two is the LARGEST compilation of AUTHENTIC Civil Defense Fallout Shelter Digitized documents EVER put on ONE CD Rom. The biggest collection of actual SHELTER plans, several plans in Autocad format, COMPLETE digital copies of AUTHENTIC FEMA Shelter BOOKS, including PREPAREDNESS PLANNING FOR NUCLEAR CRISIS, and CIVIL DEFENSE SHELTERS - A STATE OF THE ART ASSESSMENT - 1986, are on this NEW CD.

Release Number Three is going to be the COMPLETE SurvivalRing website CD. The ENTIRE website, every online file, EVERY online page, and EVERY online graphic will be here, including the Civil Defense NOW, AND MyFalloutShelter.com Sites ( surprise .... yes, NEW sites...and ALL together on this cd.) A simple way to take MY website with you whereever you go, without ANY phoneline needed. A very good resource for difficult times.
What Is To Come... -
The world, and so-called "sub-culture" of survival, and survivalists, is a BIG world. Yours truly has been interviewed dozens of times the past 4 years because nearly ALL the Survival oriented websites in the world have joined, or at one time belonged to, the SurvivalRing webring. From the New York Times, to the L.A. Times, to Wall Street Journal, to Time, Newsweek, Canada's National Post, and dozens of others...even online news sources like WorldNetDaily.com. They came looking for insight into folks that KNOW how to prepare, but mostly to sell papers and magazines, and only a little to help others. Some took advantage of me, such as WorldNetDaily (see the FRONT page of the site for what happened here). Mostly, I simply want to get out to the world HOW to stay safe...no matter what. What the MEDIA wants is to sell papers...make money...sell themselves... but no LONG term concern. Why is that?
In other words, I've been doing this for over 5 years now, and THIS YEAR ALONE PERSONALLY helped people download over 80 GIGABYTES of data FREE from this website. What did THEY do? Nothing...I rest my point
The Long Term...Where We Hope to Take This Project
Ultimate goal? To be able to afford my very own server on the internet, with unlimited bandwidth, so that EVERYTHING I have can be downloaded...for free. A few years away maybe, but definitely within reach...with your help. Until then, get the data on cd...from me.
