Fleetwood - May 2001 When it comes to education in Civil Defense, especially CURRENT information ( not older than the last decade or so), books and reports are the best way to learn more about the problems, and solutions, of nuclear threats, natural disasters, the problems of terrorism, and more. Anything that YOU would consider a threat to you and your family or community, someone else does, too, and has probably written about it at length. This website is a good start for actually GETTING information. The Civil Defense Documents section contains over 1000 pages alone in html, pdf, and page image formats. The FREE FEMA BOOKS section gets you thousands of pages more, at absolutely no cost to you, by following the simple instructions contained there. The main purpose of THIS particular page is to give you a short list of books I have come across, and have in my possession, that lay wide open many interesting and sometimes disturbing areas that an individual may not have heard of, but learning about it here, can further research using other tools and techniques and resources.
