Excellent Web Site! I put it up there with Frugal Squirrel's. I am a Network Admin working for Ferris State University. I just moved here from Grand Rapids Michigan (2nd largest city in Michigan behind Detroit). I gave up a $55,000 a year job for this $35,000/ yr position just to remove myself and family from the obvious threats present in a large city. My wife (we have a 9 month old baby) and I just purchased a small house on 9.5 acres only 3 mile from my work. It is .4 miles from the freeway (US 131), but it is to the west away from Big Rapids. My big goals is to beef up my garden and start preserving food. Next, with the help of your site, i plan on making a true Blast Shelter! I will be visiting your site a lot in the future. I found your site to be very interesting. I also enjoy TLC, read Nostrodomas, Cacey, Gordon Michael Scallion, bible prophecy etc. I am a single mom who knows we are in for "not a very good time" in the very near future and am trying to prepare. I just left Nevada believing that it was a dangereous place to be and am looking for a nice secure piece of property here in Washington (near Idaho border) to buy a home and build a shelter to keep my children safe. Very informative and sophisticated site. I just surfed in from Restore America BBS, somebody listed your site as a good place. They're correct. I'm presently living in west Houston, Texas; active in Texas Constitutional Militia. I lived in southeastern Washington State right on the Oregon border not too far from Umatilla National Forest. It was beautiful, but it was exceedingly difficult to make a living. Houston has plenty of work, but it is like living in a sewer: gangs, dope, drive-bys, irrational psycho neighbors. Being here is good for the pocketbook--but bad for the soul. Soon to depart for greener pastures, God willing. I'll recommend your site to friends. Regards, Zulu One Six.
